Out with the old, in with the new!

This morning I dropped off my 2013 CMS...a wonderful car for the last three years. It was a touch bittersweet as I picked up my new '16 JCW.

LapisLuxury Blue
Black / Red Dinamica
Red color line
Premium, XL Tech, heated seats, etc.
JCW Pro Diffuser front / rear
Ceramic tint all around, limo on the moonroof (which in Texas sun is crucial!)

Initial impression...this thing is such a pleasure to drive! The sound, feel and responsiveness make the 4th Mini I've owned feel like the best to date. There are a few subtle and not-so-subtle mods in the future, but I'm going to drive this for the next couple thousand miles as is mechanically to really get a feel for the car and what I'd like it to be.

I'm particularly happy with the color choice...I haven't seen any around in the LL Blue and only found one on instagram that matches. It's actually somewhat flat in shine which I quite like...very little metallic to it. I love the uniqueness of the car, and I am looking forward to getting to know it better.

It's definitely not, and to be honest I wasn't sure what to expect with it. Nevertheless it's really beautiful in the sunlight. And thank you!

Not seen a JCW with roof rails before. Like the Pro kit on the blue.

Congrats!!! Great looking car! I am still waiting for mine...... Ordered 5/24 built 6/26 at the port on 6/30 and still there... The wait is killing me. Already got some bits and pieces to put on when I get it!!! Do you have any more mods planned? I have been thinking about the front splitter and rear diffuser.

Coming from a countryman, the rails were necessary. I have the cross bars at home with a Thule roof basket for road trips. With two 60lb dogs that we often take with us, there's not much storage space left.

Love the splitter and diffuser...really makes the car IMHO.

Mods will be mostly cosmetic in the near future, with blacking out all the chrome being at the top of the list. After that, NM Module, AWE Touring exhaust(?) and some sort of suspension upgrade (not sure which route I want to go yet). Wheels perhaps down the line when I've worn through these brand new tires...

Congratulations.

Metallic Blue has always been an awesome color on the Mini and I still love mine.

Love the blue. Don't know if they had that when I got my JCW.

Most of the roof rails on JCW's are probably customer orders .

And a $250 option to boot! Worth it for the road trips in the future.
