Detroit Tuned Turbo Inlet Flange?

Is anyone using the Detroit Tuned Turbo Inlet Flange? Does it work and stay in place?

Thanks

its says you have to heat it to 450 F to expand it to fit on there so not too easy, i don't think it'll slip off

A decent gas grill right in front of your MINI and a pair of welders gloves and you won't lose much heat between the part and the turbo. I just wonder if it you don't get it on all the way in one try if you can get it off and try again? I know one guy had to cut it off but...............

How 'bout you try one and let ME know?

OK. I sprung for one and just finished installing it. Watch their video. I was skeptical that it went on that easy but it really does.
HOWEVER, I think it takes a little more heat than 450-500 degrees. I have a very controllable gas grill and at 500, it didn't make it all the way on the first time. I was able to get it off and the took it to about 600 degrees and it slid right on . MAKE SURE THAT YOU HOLD IT IN PLACE IMMEDIATELY as it WILL slide back off if you don't and it will be too far on to get back off.

Whoever engineered this thing is a genius for helping fix an annoying problem. My hats off to Detroit Tuned.

Hope this helps
