Purchased 4 x 20mm wheel spacers complete with correct bolts. I did not have time to install all four, but did put on one on the rear drivers side.
A great handling car will still handle great, wider track. Whether it makes a quantifiable real world feel, I cannot say. But my main motivation was for looks.
I highly recommend to get the right wheel bolts, and yes, they do need to be longer. In my case, 20mm longer.
You can feel the wider track and the handling when you go about 10mm and up , i could on my R58 JCW, have 15mm all around. I ran 30mm on the R52 before, thats pretty wide, but i was at stock ride height.
For the F56 we just have up to 20mm. Our come with the correct lentgh bolts for the full kits in the MINI black. And I have to say i really like the 20mm on the f56 JCW.
