Spacer question

Hi Everyone,

I finally came out of the dark, I have been lurking for some time but I need an answer to a question and I can't seem to find it.

I have a 2011 MCS r56, all stock but for some aesthetic mods I have done.
Wheels are RPF1 17x7, wrapped in 225/45r17 Pilot supersports.

What I want to know, will it cause me any problems if I install 15mm spacers? I want the ones from Helix Motorsports. Any advice on this would be quite appreciated.
D.

15mm spacers will make the offset 28mm ... that's pretty radical especially with oversized tires.

Are you wanting to make the wheels sit more flush or have more poke? Why did you pick 15mm I guess is what I'm getting at.

I would, ideally like the back tires to sit partially outside of the wheel arch, but I am worried that at speed, if I encounter any turbulence, they will come into contact with the arch itself and cause some damage

Ive put spacers on other cars and found that it effects cornering. Weather it be street or track its a strange feeling. I would space out the fronts and rears accordingly. Don't just do the back and not the front or vice versa.
On my GTI I did 8mm front and 15mm in the rear and it was perfect. After running 15mm in the rear alone the car handled like crap.
Looks good as well when flush with the body.
