How To Identify A FACTORY JCW?

Are the Red calipers a sure bet that it's a factory JCW? Is there something else that was only on the factor built versions versus the dealer upgraded cars?

I've seen some that state factory but they don't have the body kit but do have the calipers. Was the aero kit optional?

Thanks for entertaining questions that are probably pretty elementary on here.

Greg

Get the last 7 of VIN and enter it into the decoder.

As previously stated, the VIN is the 100% sure way to verify if it shipped as a JCW from the factory.
Everything else could be added if someone wanted to spend enough $$$.

"I've seen some that state factory but they don't have the body kit but do have the calipers. Was the aero kit optional?"
It would depend on the years how a JCW could be "accessorized and shipped from the factory. I don't know if every year shipped with the Aero Package, stock.
I have a 2009 MCS and 2013 JCW. The Aero Kit, tail pipes, brake calipers and JCW badges are the only exterior differences visually.

It's the VIN that you need.

The Decoder works GREAT! Thanks to all of you. I hope I can end up with one of these (fingers crossed).

Mine doesn't have the aero side trim but the aero front and rear. 11 JCW. It's a JCW for real.

That aero side is expensive. Like 4 bills plus then you have to paint. Outmotoring sells them.
