New to the R53 just wanted to say hi and ask a quick Q

Hey guys

I just bought a 05 r53 and am loving it besides some weird noise from the front right that I have yet to figure out but none the less I love it
I just wanted to ask does the jcw front lip fit on a stock R53 cooper S bumper? The lip in question I am talking about is this: https://www.ecstuning.com/ES2523789/...BmThoCC5Xw_wcB

New Mini Owner R53

Hi Kiwi! Welcome aboard! Please let us know if we can help.

Here are articles and an application guide that will help you select the right spoiler that won't require modification! BTW, what kind of noise are you referring to and we can probably help diagnose it. Also, please post some pix of your new buy when you have a chance. I just picked up an 04 R53 Grins ahead!

This. Is it a noise at idle, in a specific spot? Or is it when you're driving straight, turning, stopping? A rubbing, scraping, clanking? Just try to explain it and I'm sure either someone has experienced it or one of the vendors/shops that lurk around here will try to help.

Congrats.

Hello and welcome. Thats for a 3/2012+ Gen 2 JCW Aer0 front bumper.

For the R53 Cooper S stock bumper its here. With some other common parts that get beat up from the road and curbs. 51117130315

A friend test driving my new old Mini

This looks like a good place to jump on the thread and say something like :"Me too!"
I am new to the R53 after 8 years and counting on my R55 Justa, I have taken over my step son's R53 which he couldn't afford to keep or even drive. I plan to sell it, but in fixing it up for sale, I've been 'forced' to drive it all over the place.
It is a revelation.
The most fun I've had driving a Mini.
I may end up keeping it and selling my Clubman...
How long can I afford to keep both...?
Anyway, the R53 is a fun vehicle :-)

Agreed, I've had my R53 for about a month now and find myself taking the "long way" on even the shortest trip. It's the most fun since my 1967 Cooper S, or my two race cars.

Hence, the tagline . . .

Drive Hard. Drive Safe. Keep Grinning.
