PSP #3 Up Next .....Lets See How Long This One Lasts !

Ahhhh so the Power steering saga continues ....My original PSP Crapped out at 41,250 miles on my 2006 MCS ...Bought a Remanufactured one on Ebay from BBA Remanufactuing for $305.00..Installed it 6 months ago ...was working great ..then today Turn off my car and guess what was still running? ..Disconnected the battery cable as not to drain my battery and start a potential fire with the pump still running ...Call up the company ....Guy says on the other end of the phone .."You must have ESP because i have one left ...they go like Hotcakes of the shelf here "....In any case I dont have to pay a Dime because i have a Lifetime Warranty as long as i own the Car ...will be in my Hands by Monday ...Going to have a Shop i go to install it this time around because it was a PITA to install myself a few months back .......

Why won't BMW cover 2006 Minis?

It's so wrong...

the reman may have a faulty switch if it continued to draw, although there should be no power going to it.... there is a huge warranty on the pumps, you may still be able to get it serviced at the dealer for nothing, plus the recall, they may be able to count yours in.

my PSP is screaming like a banshee, but still works. I am waiting although I doubt its actually going to die, so I can collect my recall

Reman MINI pumps are not known to be that good. Some vendors don't even offer them since they fail more often than factory ones. My original pump would stop working for 30 minutes, then come back on randomly, untill it died completely. Bought a new one in December of 2010 and it's still working (car is stored during winter).

The Recall doesnt apply to my 2006 Model ...even though they are all the same crappy PSP used for the First Gen MINI's ....
