High/Rough Idle

Hey guys,

Just got done installing my new 17% pulley and a few other things, and I noticed that my car was idling very fast (1500-1800 RPM) even when warm. I also noticed that when I would give the throttle a little tap to get it to settle down, it would drop to about 1k, get rough, then go back up. I've had about 3 rough starts since the install also.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like you may have a vacuum leak somewhere......

Is there any common locations to check for this? This may be congruent with what I saw when I had O'Reillys scan my SES, it was the idle air control (for high RPM), but my MAP reading was low (10 mmHg)

There are some vacuum lines on the passenger side of the motor....right where you were at when you swapped the pulley. Check for any cracks in the tubing, or plastic fittings.

Everything looks good on those, that was my first thought when you said vacuum leak. The lines, connectors, and nipples on the valve look good.

It was the Grey MAP (?) line that goes to the front bottom of the supercharger (right in the middle basically). But now it is doing it again so I have no clue what it is. It didn't do it the whole drive after, had CEL cleared, went out for a drive and the light was back on and I had a weird idle. About 1.2k RPM but it was fluctuating all over the place
