I just noticed that Hanyes now has online repair manuals. Looks like they have all the same sections as the printed manuals and have high-res color photos, and can be printed for future use (after paying for 1 year subscription).
Has anyone here tried them yet? Are the photos generic "this is how you add oil to some car" images? Is it worth paying for, maybe just once to PDF print?
Depending on your needs, it may be sufficient. However the standard is the Bentley manual. There is no substitute. And it is not online.
While the price might be more than what you are looking to spend it will pay for itself on the first repair you do that you don't pay the dealer to do.
They come up for sale here in the marketplace and you can save some $$.
There's a bentley manual for sale in the marketplace right now for $80. I bought mine online for $95 from ebay, brand new.
I don't know if it's just me but the Bentley manual doesn't seem to have information on some of the repairs I'll be doing, including the turbo oil line and oil filter cooler. Am I just looking in the wrong place or is it not as comprehensive as I had anticipated?
Overall though, the Bentley manual is the gold standard and has tons of great information especially for regular maintenance items.

No, the Bentley manual doesn't cover the oil filter gasket replacement.
