Not sure what this is because my regular factory radio works perfectly. The SONY radio is powered and the faceplate is changing colors for whatever reason.
It's an aftermarket installation and impossible to know without more information. Pull it out and see where the output wires go. Maybe it's connected to the aux input on the factory radio.
