Started my car and began driving to run errands and midway through the journey, A CEL came on. I got to my destination, pulled the scanner out and pulled a P112B - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Minimum Temperature Implausible code. I started watching the temperature and found that the coolant temp was around 212F and was pretty steady. However, when I began driving later, I noticed no heat was blowing in the car yet coolant temps seemed fine. I scanned the forums for an answer and found multiple posts about replacing the sensor or the thermostat housing which may be leaking, or topping up my coolant and bleeding the system which I did today. I may try bleeding the system with the heat on full blast tomorrow, but are there any suggestions to solve this problem or things I am unaware of?
Have you touched the coolant system before , if no heat , then its your thermostat housing. As you have a leak and getting air in the system. Get it checked and replaced asap. 11537534521 KT
Other then that there are links the check other areas as the waterpump and waterpipe.
Played around with it a little bit more, bled it on a sideways incline and more air came out. I stuck a camera down in to look at the thermostat housing and found no leaks from up against the head as it had only been replaced 3 months ago. The heater core must have had trapped air as the inlet and outlet face the ground which doesn't help that problem.
