Are the drivers seat and passenger seats identical?


I wanted to switch the seats simply because the drivers seat has some wear on it as it has been sat in far longer than the passenger seat has. I rarely have passengers so I might as well enjoy a brand new seat.

 

Bottom part of the seat pad, yes except the OCC mat on the passenger side. The uppers have the airbag in them based off which side you are on. The leather bottom of the seat could be swapped. Little bit of work.

 

So its not as simple as unbolting both seats and swapping them, is that correct?

 

Best thing you can do is compare by parts the driver's and passenger's seats in detail. Here's the page with everything listed.

Nope.

 

Just look at them and you'll see that most components are mirrored, not identical (e.g. the side airbags). Even the seat bottom covers are different because of the side cutouts (not to mention the passenger sensor mat).

 

Are there any good, very light racing seats for the R56?
