I was on my way home from work and hit a deer the size of the mini going 70Mph.... Lets say the mini is a Tank the deer EXPLODED on impact. I Might up end of Parting it out if the parts are going to be too expensive.. Crazy thing is I only had the car for 14 days and it was a ton of fun... Im now trying to decide if I want to get a 05 -06 Cooper S or get a R56 S model.... THOUGHTS????
Doesn't even look as though your airbags deployed. No way a total. A hood, a front bumper cover, a headlamp, some trim, a condenser, a radiator and some paint.

Sooo funny you noticed that.. My ignorance in not knowing Mini's is what saved me... I took the seats out to get the carpets cleaned and when I did that the Airbag light stayed on and disabled the system. I was going to get it reset on Wednesday of next week...
I hit a deer back in 2014 and it cost my insurance almost 8k to repair. I was on a back road doing 50-55. No airbags and some how it tore the airbag harness and they had to get one from the factory in Europe. Hope you can repair it
LKQ is a good place to source. Also look at www.car-part.com for other places that may have parts available. Glad you're alright and the MINI did its job.
Cheapest hood I've been able to find is $350 shipped off of Amazon... Front bumper for the S is $225 from Mini of Kennesaw. And it appears you have the halogen headlights... Used one can be had for under a hundy.
Sorry to hear about your experience. Outside of the deer, glad no one was injured.
I would say go for the '05-'06 Cooper S. I'm the original owner since 11/11/04 when he was delivered with 23 miles. He has 108,603 miles on him.
R56 Cooper S would be my second choice. Anything after that is of no interest. They started messing with the size too much. These new MINIs are just way too big.
Fwiw, if you are trying to estimate cost, I suspect you will need a new condenser and radiator, too. I was recently surprised that my MIL needed both after a small fender bender with a lot less visible damage. Her insurance did cover it at least (after deductible).
Its can be fixed. 41617067753 You can start with the hood and go from there. If you get used it will need all smoothed out or repainted / blended to match. You MINI looks like the paint was in great shape before the wreak.
Looks like the front radiator and cooler for the auto trans is all bent up , the bumper and the headlight also. Did the top cover on the engine break or the motor mount on the trans side ?
So I have been sourcing parts all over the internet and its not looking like too bad to fix... Nothing important was bent not even the AC lines... So it will be my winter project and I want to keep it.. Between ECS, Pelican, Ebay and Rock Auto and Carparts.com I can get everything for about $900 to 1200... WE MUST SAVE THE R50's!!!!
