BFG Force-Comp 2 A/S

Could not pass up the price on a set of the new BFG Force Comp-2 A/S $406 installed at costco special order though

So far there is not a-lot of info on them. TireRack has not done a review nor have I have found any of you guy's testing them yet either. Should be mounted in a week or so when they arrive at Costco
Current set up.
Bridgestone RE760 205-50r16
impression of the Bridge's- rough ride, darts and tracks all over the place with trq steer and tire groove following. they grip like crazy unless its even remotely damp and cool (60f) then its a skating rink.

Yeah, I liked the old format better. Interesting tire. I wish they had compared it to some better handling competitors like the DWS 06 and A/S 3.

Yup. I was going to get the michilin A/S3 but the extra 204 clams had me thinking why not try a new tire.

alright have 500 or so miles. tires have a good grip, solid feel. have not had rain to test out the wet but dry is good to go. once you hit 70mph though they have a hum like a offroad tire.

Here is the tirerack test result for Ultra High Performance All Season tires including the g-Force Comp 2 A/S:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=200

May 22, 2015

BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S (Ultra High Performance All-Season, 245/40R18 97W)
What We Liked: Crisp handling along with good wet and dry traction
What We'd Improve: A bit more composure when transitioning in rapid maneuvers
Conclusion: A solid performer that is BFGoodrich's best ever Ultra High Performance All-Season tire

Tirerack owner survey results:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...jsp?type=UHPAS
Overall good dry and wet handling but not as soft riding as Continental DWS 06
Note that the number of responses per tire does vary. The Comp-2 A/S being a new tire still have a ways to go in survey numbers.

Yes, OP, any more feedback?

I blew out a RFT on a pothole this morning and after lots of calling around (needing something to be mounted today) I ended up having to go with the Comp 2 A/S. Haven't even picked the car up yet.

I really wanted the DWS 06s but no one had the size I wanted available today.

I haven't bought tires yet but I've pretty much decided on going with these.

Yup have about 3000 miles now and plenty of wet and cold weather days on them. In the wet they stick nicely with a solid feel. Cold days I did not notice any cold weather thump for the tire to warm up. Solid tire glad I got them. I would recommend them!

Put a set of the BFG Comp 2 A/S on my R53 last week after my second set of Yoko S-Drives went south , 205-50-16 .So far i like them just fine, although the sidewall does indeed look a bit Tonka-Toy.

Dry grip is excellent, wet grip ( we've had a ton of rain) is far better than the S-Drives and they are a bit more smooth riding. Have not had a chance to really get my boot into it , but I think they've made a pretty good tire that won't terrify me in the cold weather.

The S-Drives were strange...First set inspired total confidence no matter how spirited I got, the second set just never felt quite right to me...

Had the car up to 75 yesterday and din't notice any hum or noise from the BFG's, but we'll see.

I have been on them for about 1k miles thus far - and loving them. My other vehicle (half ton) also runs BFG (KO2). My first choice typically has been Michelin - a short time ago, I learned that BFG is owned by Michelin. For longevity, I think Michelin can't be beat. For the truck, the KO2 has the grip I was looking for without going for a M/T - and the comparable Michelin, wasn't even a comparison - the KO2 won hands down. When I picked up the Cooper, it had BFG Comp 2 (summers only) and they seemed ok but sucked in the rain or anything other than the sun. The A/S seems ALOT better.
