I bought this Teutonic bucket of bolts a few weeks ago.
It was almost perfect. Almost. So, naturally, I had to immediately tear it apart and add cool ****.
First order of business was to avoid a stiff prison sentence. So, I decided to install an Escort remote mount radar detector with laser scrambler. Seemed prudent. Here you can see the rear laser scramblers neatly inserted into the rear bumper.
A close up of the aforementioned cloaking device installed in the bumper.
The front will be sporting a radar receiver and two laser scramblers. Here you can see the receiver and one scrambler during the installation process.
I had to install the GPS antenna for the detector on the roof. Really no way to hide its inherent ugliness. I'll just have to live with a squashed roach on my racing stripes. The cord, however, is well concealed beneath the windshield trim. Thank God for small favors.
In the next couple of weeks the detector install will be done along with some LED driving lamps. Then, I hope to have the rearview mirror modified to include a small video screen. I will hook that up with a rear view camera. Pictures forthcoming.
Very nice looking R58. Always wanted a radar jammer, but those things are illegal in a lot of states. How has it been working out for you so far? Got any pictures of the rear view camera mod yet?

Also, new tires. More on those later as well.
Over and out.
I have the Escort Passport 9500IX for more than 6 years now. It never failed and has 360 degree protection, has always been very reliable and I believe it is the best product you can find on the market.
I don't know how much you paid for this set up but with installation, all the wiring and add ons, I am not sure it was your best option.
For me a radar detector is a device I use about a couple of times a year or when needed. I prefer to move it back to its box when I am in a regular driving mode.
Furthermore, all additional toys on the outside always grab dirt and a Coupe.
