There's not a whole lot on the net about these, but they sound and look great from what I've seen. Did you have to do any cutting for the install?
No cutting was involved, it is a straight rip and replace. The installation took 30-40 min. I also had the res and 2nd cat removed which makes the sound more aggressive.
Although the price of the Remus is pretty expensive given the fact that it is only an Axel back exhaust (i could have got a custom DP catback), i thought the quality and brand was well worth it and likely has a better resale value if I ever sell the Mini.

Great! I read somewhere that one owner had to do some cutting to get his in. Not sure what that was about. I wonder if Remus has the option to buy just those gorgeous black/cf tips, that's half the reason I want the exhaust. I'd probably rather have a custom 3" catback with a magnaflow muffler and the Remus tips.
I contacted Outmotoring about this exhaust can and they told me cutting would be involved and a little wiggling around to get it to fit the valance correctly.
I want one but am having issues with pulling the trigger on a $900 muffler.

Did you do the install yourself?
And you can you describe how much you love the sound over the stock muffler? Since you are one of the rare few that actually have one of these. I would appreciate more detailed description about how it sounds, I already know if look great. I'm on the fence...sell me on why I need one of these.
