Has anyone run 20psi WITHOUT meth?
Not that I'd want to, but it happened to me anyway. I recently turned up the JB+ on my GP2 from 35% to 50% in preparation for a track day. The car has a proper intercooler, and I added a can of Torco to get the octane up to somewhere around 103 to be safe. Datalogs looked good - I was reading max boost of just a hair under 19psi at WOT, and timing looked stable so I left it at 50%. Fast forward to this afternoon, when the JB+ must have completed it's full adaptation, because in the middle of my track session I happened to glance at the boost gauge and saw it hitting 21psi (and actually trying to push higher in some places)
. Fortunately I had the CAN tool going so I could monitor timing, and it looked fine (stable between +4 and +6 at WOT, no evidence of timing being pulled). I turned it down to 40% promptly after that session, but it must need to re-adapt because it was still running at 21 in the remaining session.
So I survived the day, but now I'm worried that I may have stressed the engine too much. I'm damn lucky I was running Torco, but that still seems like a LOT of boost - even for a GP motor - without meth. It was pretty warm today too - 80 and humid. Has anyone successfully run boost that high on just 100+ octane, or should I be worried? I have another track day next week, need to get this sorted out.

I run 1.4 bar ~ 20 psi with 100 octane on my track tune. I have a fun map that's 23psi 1.6 bar on 100 octane but it heat soaks too much for track sessions.
Our early gp2 tunes run 1.5 bar on 100 octane. They run well ~245hp/270trq wheel numbers.
They run the 1.4 bar map on 91 octane .

My DC says 273/322 at motor so say 80% eff would be 220/258 to the wheels. I really need to hit a dyno, trying to rent one for a day , can get it for $350 from 9am to 3 pm up to 10 cars.

on my manic stage 1 map C if my calculated numbers are right I'm not far back of your fun map, and I have a CAT . ANd the weather has been about 100F .

When I was stage 2 I was 215whp on Map B and 226whp 231wtq on Map C.

I'm installing a real boost gauge to see if my reported boost is accurate, and will get to a dyno shortly to see what I get. My car other than a DP is stage 2 ready so I'm sure I'm getting power from my mods as well as Manic.
But one thing is for sure, once you go Manic you don't go back, I sold my JB+ the next day.
