Anybody purchase their MC/MCS in Florida?

Since the dealer network feedback system is down, I'll need to post this here. Ferman MINI in Tampa has a $499 "dealer charge fee." I'm not too keen on paying this, and am wondering if Orlando or Ft. Laud/Miami is charging that as well. I've emailed Orlando but no response, I plan on calling next week but am just curious to see what other owners had. Also, if you did buy from Ferman and were able to get rid of that fee I'd be much obliged if you could tell me. Thanks!

I paid str8 MSRP when i bought my 04 MCS at Lauderdale MINI. The only thing i had to pay is the $500 Shipping charge which you pay with ANY car, its even listed on the MINIUSA website.

Lauderdale MINI repeatedly told me they are the only dealer down here to charge no extra than MSRP.

I also bought my 2 MINIs from Crystal Neagle at Lauderdale MINI (Call her at 954-335-MINI for the absolute best sales experience). They are the only MINI dealer in the state of Florida that has charged MSRP since opening day March 22nd, 2002. They do charge a reasonably $299 fee for documentation fees, etc. They NEVER sell you a car you don't want or make you pay extra for options you don't care about.

Lauderdale MINI has top notch treatment and after sales service. See Crystal, Larry and Bonnie (Sales Manager). They will treat you like family!
I live in Miami but chose not to do business with the locals (Braman and South Motors MINI, those folks left a very bad taste in my mouth 2 years ago) and instead made the drive to Ft Lauderdale (30 miles) to purchase our MINIs.

Send me a PM if you want my name that way when you talk to Crystal you can tell her who send you to her.

Don't waste your time with the Orlando dealership (Downtown MINI), because those guys still insist in shoving down your throat a $1500 "Surcharge" for mandatory options in every new MINI they sell. Some Orlando residents have driven 200 miles south to Ft Lauderdale to pick up their new MINIs instead.

The Orlando sales staff is nice and Mike Priest thier sales manager is a MINI aficionado, but the Fields group that owns thw MINi dealership still believes in gouging the customer.

Downtown MINI has a very good tech and service reputation so you may consider them for future service needs instead.

Purchased my 2004 MCS from TOM BUSH MINI in Jacksonville for MSRP + $295 "doc" fee that they were upfront about the day I placed my order. I flew out from CA and drove it back home 2500 miles. A true 10 out of 10 buying experience with MA Amy Jordan. Amy and the dealer were great and truly professional. No games, gimmicks, or excuses. I highly recommend Amy to anyone who is looking to place an order for a 2005 Mini Cooper.
