recaro installed, SEAT POSITION SENSOR code(0093BF) ON!

Haaaaaaaaahhh.

I just installed a recaro sp-gt2 seat for my mini.
After messing with the inclosed recaro resistor(measured 2.1 ohm), I was able to erase "SIDE AIRBAG CODE(0093AC)" with 3.3 ohm resistor, not the recaro one.

But there was another code (oh I used ISTA bmw device to detect/test/erase fault memory), which was... "SEAT POSITION SENSOR(0093BF)"

Since that sensor is a part of Airbag system, the airbag light is still on.
(sensor helps the system to decide how hard the system explode the airbag according to seat position on the seat rail),,

So, I am trying to deal with the sensor now,

(Sensor taken off from the oem rail)

1. Anyone had this issue with seat removal/aftermarket seat install?

2. How should I figure this issue? Any recommendations?
I prefer to transplant the sensor to my recaro setup to have steering air bag performing properly when needed.. but I will need to cut the wires to remove the connector from the seat. (seat heater/Pressure sensor wires are coming from inside of the seat and comes in to the connector)

Help~!!

Picture above shows two wires on the right(comes from the seat position sensor, goes to the car).. the multiple wires on the left is from inside of the seat itself, I am assuming they are for heater/pressure.

And the picture above is basically the same connector(yellow casing is off now).

Just quickly tried to measure the ohm from the two pins(brown wire and ivory wire) coming from the sensor,, no respond... :( Don't understand why the green one joins there..

So I was able to detach the "seat position sensor" and the wiring, the connector from the original seat(not the metal plate on the rail yet..tho),
going to try connect the sensor to the car and will see...

Funny thing is,, no minis here in Korea have that seat position sensor on the seat thus no air bag light because of that sensor...
It looks like only US/CANADIAN version minis are equipped with that feature(advanced airbag system).

Because Race Car... Put Electrical tape over the light... Otherwise, try very hard not to get into an accident, with no side/seat airbags, you're gonna die...

Were you ever able to resolve this issue? I have the same problem....but with some F56 seats instead of the Recaro's.

I removed the sensor from the oem seat rail. I then removed the plastic cover under the seat and drilled the same size hole in a spot to mount the sensor. Then plugged everything in, including a resistor. Clear the code and no airbag light! Good luck!

Not the Tootsie Roll wrapped, but drilled a hole in this cover. Then installed the sensor oriented the same as oem.
