I have always gone out of my way to say hello to any Mini owner that is parked near one of my Mini Coopers It doesn't matter what model you have, this is a great community we are all in. I always give mad respect when you meet a rare JCW owner because to me, JCWs are a work of art and you have to have a passion for Minis to buy them. Do current owners see that a lot when it comes to ppl stopping you out of the blue? And also to my fellow "to be" owners do you do the same?
I live in Prescott, AZ (80k in the area). Lots of Minis, I see several every day. But I'm only aware of one other JCW, a 2012. And the weird thing is that it's a Coupe and same colors as mine. The rarest Mini model (Coupe, Roadser), JCW to boot, and there are 2 here. People constantly ask me if my car is a Mini Cooper. It's one reason I bought it.
As a JCW owner, my experience is that, outside of the real MINI fans, nobody knows what a JCW is. They just see another MINI - and that's ok with me.
I see you ordered a Roadster last month. They said the last Roadster came off the Oxford assembly line at the end of last week so I assume your car is made. Is yours a JCW?

Got an email from my MA on Monday telling me that it's on the Morning Courier, expected in port mid-May. I might even be able to take it to AMVIV. I decided to go a different direction with the Roadster, so it's a Cooper. I did order the JCW Interior Package w/ JCW cloth seats, so it's slightly JCW. I'll be keeping the JCW Clubman for times when I need/want to do some haulin'

Cool! We attended AMVIV in 2008, it was a pretty good event. The Clubman made its debut at that one, and I had Way Motorworks install a rear swaybar on my 2007 MCS. I see it's at the end of May, I'd love to drive the JCW Coupe but not sure I'm free those days. They did a trip to Parumph racetrack which was cool. I didn't race but a lot did. My friend almost bought a JCW Roadster in Scottsdale a couple months ago. Her husband talked her out of it so she got a 2015 F56 MCS instead (which is pretty sweet).
You would not believe the amount of people (non-MINI owners) who come over to my JCW in parking lots. We have even experienced people waiting beside the car for our return on several occasions. The car is all blacked out midnite black with all black interior with slight red accents. We have a front splitter, custom side splitters, and a wing on the back. I'll open the hood and amaze the crowd when they see the amount of mods (accented in red) that have been performed. We have grown accustomed to this attention and never stop loving it. Comes with the territory-REPRESENT.
