pod for parrott 9200 screen

Price: $9999

Part fits (you may select multiples): R56, R57

I purchased a parrott 9200 about a year ago. I know they exist and have a BMW part number but can not seem to find any in the USA. I found some in the Netherlands but they don't ship to the USA. I know Mike the Mini is the expert and I got my cables from him. Looking for this pod for over a year. Any ideas. If someone overseas has one or can get one I will pay right for one.

I am having to guess what you are looking for here. Could you be looking for the GPS pod that mounts next to the tach?

It is part number 65902219401

Other than that, I don't have a clue what you are looking for.

The Parrot 9200i was recently massively marked down at retailers (I got two for my cars for less than $100 each). Is there some reason you couldn't just buy the entire kit and just use the new screen?

Amazon Link to Parrot 9200 for $113 Amazon Link to Parrot 9200 for $113
- Still a good price...

parrott 9200 pod

Hi Everyone. Maybe I was not clear on my post. I have the parrott 9200 installed already. Been installed for over a year. It is presently mounted on a metal bracket on the right side of the center pod on the steering wheel. I am looking for a pod to mount the display screen into. I saw the post for a pod but it looks like it is for a GPS unit but I am going to check it out just the same. Thanks for everyone help. You guys are AWESOME

The response I received was for a GPS mount. Not for a Parrott 9200 unless someone knows this will work for the parrott. It is a very small screen so I am betting that it has to be the correct one. But thanks for the responses. I know these are available in the Netherlands but the company that sell them does not ship to the USA. Go Figure. Mike the Mini master was suppose to get some but never heard from him. Thanks.

I got a question about the parrott 9200. If you don't have bluetooth or handsfree phone in your mini this is a great option. It gives you these features plus ipod connections, usb, aux and a cool screen to show you who is calling and what songs are playing etc. The parrott 9200 is pretty cheap compared to paying mini for just one of these options. You will need the adapter wiring harness and you will have to remove your radio from the dash which is scary to some people but it is pretty straight forward and a bunch of screws. With the wiring harness it is a simple plug and play system. I also purchased the screen mount which is just a metal bracket that mounts but the steering wheel. Not very nice looking. But they make a pod to put the screen into and it looks great then. Seen it on Youtube a bunch but all overseas videos. The parrott 9200 runs about 100 bucks but is well worth it. Don't let your mini dealer tell you it is impossible to get your steering wheel controls to work with original mini parts. Just not true. I have it in my mini and it works great. It has it own amp to run things and does not sound bad at all. The microphone took more time to install than the rest of the set up. Thanks. Have a great day.

+1 to the awesomeness of the 9200.

Zippiwatches... You have your steering wheel controls working with your Parrot?!?! How??? I hate to pull my dash apart again but would definitely do so to get steering wheel controls working! I despise the little controller it comes with because I'm always bumping it when making turns (strapped to the steering wheel). Steering wheel controls for the Parrot would be a dream come true

I purchased my parrott 9200 from Amazon. I think I paid around 100 dollars for it. I then contacted Mike the Mini in England. He make the wiring harness that plugs into the radio and then into the parrott. This allows the steering wheel controls to work. I was told by my dealership it was impossible. But mine work just fine. I hated having controls on my steering wheel that did nothing. Now the controls work. They control the parrot directly. The buttons work for sure. The voice recognition works also. So you can hit it and say a name on your phone it will ask if you do you want to call so and so and you say yes or no. You can also dial by name. You simply scroll to the name and hit the dial button. The other buttons control the features within the parrot. I paid like a 140 for the wiring harness and the bracket to mount to the parrott screen by the steering wheel. They make a pod to mount the screen in. But the company that sell it is in the netherlands and they don't ship to the USA. You can google the pod and see what it looks like. But Yes you can get your steering wheel controls to work and the voice recognition button to work also. I can shoot you Mike the Mini email address. It took me like a two weeks to get the harness but it was a simple plug and play once the harness came in. The parrott also give you USB,IPOD,AUX,etc also. The parrott comes with it's own amp built in. Sounds good. Let me know if you want mike's email address.

Still looking for the pod for my 2009 mini cooper. I know there is a company that sells these but does not ship to USA for some stupid reason. We have thousands and thousands of mini cooper here. Anyone who know where to get one let me know. I am not looking for the pod for the GPS but for the Parrott MKI9200. The parrott has a small display screen. And yes my steering wheel controls work with the parrott where when I purchased the car they did not work at all. Mini wanted 1200 just to add bluetooth. I found Mike who makes and sells the harness to enable all the controls and is a plug and play harness. Thanks. Mike

So, I could not understand what the OP was looking for since no part number or pic was included. That is why I thought he wanted to use the MINI GPS mount.

He is looking for this:

Which is part number 99992182188. http://www.bmwetk.info/parts-catalog...02/99992182188

I know some of the folks here have gotten euro parts before sent to the US, so how do you do that?

Parrot 9200

I don't know why mike has not responded to you. You might be about to get the harness from Amazon also. I see them for other. Whiles now on Amazon. I am going to order my pod for the display. My BMW dealer is pretty good. I took my mini in for the turbo recall about 6 months ago. It is not a daily driver and the battery was dead. So when I jumped it off the engine bay looked funny. I noticed they left off my engine cover so I called them. No response. I contacted mini. I think it is a bunch of junk they don't want to replace my cover they left off. The car only has about 300 miles on it since the repair and the dealership is in another state and about 90 miles from where I live. Going to give them a chance first. Also anyone had toms problems. I know the TSB is looking into a recall for this. Hope they do it. My car has been acting up since day one. They reset it but it always comes back. I know about the battery problem in these.
