Any opinions on MC2 Magazine

Was thinking of subscribing to MC3 Magazine, but I've never read it. Does anyone on this board have an opinion on the quality or entertainment value of the publication? Looking for more enthusiast info, etc.

IMO it's a Rag not a MAG. It never gets delivered on time and is full of typos.

I subscribed for a year. For my taste, it was too much travel features and not enough tech. The editing and typos sometimes made me grind my teeth. The publisher is a nice guy who is working hard to put out a decent product in a niche market, it just wasn't for me.

A year's subscription is less than a Friday night bar tab, you could always try it and see.

I've been a subscriber for a couple of months and have enjoyed the articles.

I have been a subscribers for years. I think it is worth the cost. I enjoy reading many of the articles. It does have the problems noted by others. I tend to look past the problems. I do not know of a better Mini specific magazine that is geared towards North America.

I've read a couple of places that MC2 is about to go out of business. No wonder really their rag is not worth the paper it is printed on. It could have been such a great thing for MINI owners. A real shame they dropped the ball so badly.

Thanks for the input. It is relatively inexpensive, so maybe I will give it a whirl for a year. Typos and other shortcomings aside, I've wasted more money on silly things.

Typos can be found in bout every mag out there and local newspapers. Not to the extent of MC2 but it' doesn't bother me, I kinda get a chuckle out of it really. Has tons of very small articles in it which are actually wrote up by different people/club members that organized the said drive or event and then Barry edits it... I wish it would be more like a Hot Rod mag and go into more detail on different mods, and what they did or didn't do, etc. Instead it is just an over view of a car with stuff listed as if taken out of a brochure or something.. Granted it takes money to do a build as they have done with their car to be able to write about it but it's seems to be all sponsored parts on it so probably wasn't very costly to do.. I think that is their holdback, money to do it all right, but at the rate their going they will never make enough money on the mag to do it any other way... I've been getting it for years and while it is not the best mag out there it is the only American MINI mag there is.. So it is MC2 or nothing.. Kinda got the Market cornered
