Odd looking wire tap in foot well fuse area, also best fuse to tap always on/hot.

Hey All,

Looking for a little help here. I purchased an '07 MCS recently and I'm looking to hard wire in an always hot cigarette lighter. Does anyone know what the best fuse number to use is? I'm thinking of using a add-a-circuit as the best option.

When I took the passenger foot well fuse door off I noticed the PO tapped into the violet wire next to the 1st fuse block. See pict. Any idea what that could be?

Thanks!

On my 2012 there's a nut in the bottom of the fuse box under the bonnet /hood that's always live, and as far as I know you should have it too. You could maybe hook to that with an inline fuse instead? I'm not sure what you want to hook up, but at least this way you're not sharing a fuse.
