Water dripping from the mirror!!!!

Had a particularly hard rain today...

Got in to run an errand and noticed water dripping from my mirror!

Anybody else ever see this? I got the hardtop to avoid the leakage problems I have experienced with sunroofs.

The car was pointed nose down on a pretty steep hill... Is it possible water is leaking into the top thru the antenna Base?

GRRRRR!

Do you know if the car has a replacement windshield?
Guessing if you look at the markings it does....bet that is the problem...the install was bad.

There are only a few leak paths that high epically if you have no sunroof. Antenna base. Windshield and 3rd brake light. Pop out the interior dome light and take a peek in there if you see any signs of water that ran past. Take a close look at the headliner with a flash light and maybe you can spot some water staining. Remember water can travel a long way unnoticed until it finds the point of lease resistance. Also check the hinges for the hatch and any harness connector that runs through to the roof Knowing where it happened is good you can put the car in the same incline and test each point with a gallon of water. I would remove the dome light and mirror first so you can see.

Oh just though. Look at your roof by the antenna base. Is it dimpled down maybe by the force of a car wash when the brush rolled over the antenna?

The antenna base seems likely to me now. It is kind of loose, and I think water could easily get under it

I think the gasket has just age-hardened, and perhaps the nut holding it on has vibrated loose?

The cupped rear tires really do set up a terrific rumble.
