Problem after a power shift

When engaging in a little impromptu performance testing/showing off at a stop light/whatever, I've noticed after a power shift from 1st to 2nd, the beast acts like it's hit a rev limiter and almost shuts down until I take my foot off the accelerator, then it takes off again. No, I have not hit the limiter. Any thoughts? Thanks

One tip...
When you bust a CV joint...do not use the "lifetime" ones at the local auto parts stores...
And if you need a clutch ..the clutch is about $2000....have fun!!
Help support your local shop!!

Motor on!!
Lol..
By the way...most of us have been there done that...just know it is VERY HARD on the drivetrain....

I'm hoping he meant "hard shift" because a power shift is just a bad idea.

One can only wonder how such "operational procedures" has affected MINI's overall reliability rating throughout the years.

Have fun...just know it has a $$.
When you out are going to get you foot into it...
Flip the (depending in the option package) DSC/ASC+T OFF...when disabled, the yellow warning light will be on...letting you spin your tires!! When the DSC senses the tires spinning, it reduces throttle by about 50% in the factory programmed on mode...when the light is lit it is not truly off, but it so so reduced, you should not notice it.
