Improving the low RPM range?

Being older and more mature (LOL), I'm looking to improve the lower range 1500-3000 rpms on my CM/All4. The sport button certainly helps and I like the tighter steering, but I find I'm not happy with the higher revving when going on long flat stretches or downhill. Could be just a weird quirk of mine, but curious if you have any tips or does this annoy anyone else?

I've read about the JB+, but it doesn't sound like it is going to help at the low rpms, am I wrong about this?

TIA

i installed a milltek downpipe back exhaust ... it eliminated the very restrictive flexpipe and both the second cat and resonator ... only mod and then compared to another all4 equipped like mine, i picked up 5 car lengths in a 3rd gear rollon from 1500-4500 rpm

before the exhaust we were axle-2-axle from 1500-4500 rpm

I would say it helps the low end even more than the high end. You should definitely get one and try it. Very short money for the gain...only change is you have to use super unleaded.

The jb+ makes a notable difference at the lower rpm's, it's what I like most.

This are the minimum requirements. The use of high octane fuel makes the engine more efficient.

The manual recommends 91 or higher. The manual says 89 is the absolute minimum and using it may cause knocking.

See page 150 for the exact wording (my phone wouldn't let me copy the text from the pdf). I agree that it's not written very clearly.
