New York Area MCS Audio Question

Hi everyone.

I am hoping someone can help. I have spend a lot time in the past two weeks trying to understand how I can upgrade my 2013 Cooper S sound system. While I have learned a lot in the past couple of weeks, I honestly feel more confused than ever.

I spend a lot of time in my car my last MINI had the HK system--which was just ok. My current MINI has the stock sound system with MINI Connected. I would love to take my car to a car audio install shop where they can put together a speaker/amp package and install everything as I am not mechanical in any way.

What I would like to do is have the separate tweeters installed, replace the current stock speakers (front/back), and install a good amp. A system that won't break my MINI Connected functions and provides a rich sound spectrum. (For around $1000)

Is this an ok plan?

Thanks for any help
