Wheel Questions

Is anyone familiar with these wheels on ebay?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/17-JCW-Style-Wheels-Rims-Fit-Mini-Cooper-S-/191204167875?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c84a810c3&vxp=mtr
I like the look and the price but I don't know anything about the brand, weight or offset. All insight/knowledge will be appreciated...

Thanks.

I'd walk away. They're not proud enough of them to say who made them and the world is full of cheap unreliable knock-offs. The only way to find out is to have one of them fail in rush hour traffic. Besides, they're asking close to what two would normally sell for.

When I scrolled down under the description it says the item is a Set of 4 Wheels. You don't mean I could buy 2 sets of 4 wheels for that price, do you? If so, please point me to them... Thanks!

It probably weights 20+lbs a wheel, if not close enough. You can feel the heft in crap quality wheels and they don't belong on a MINI. There are much better/lighter wheels out there for the size....

Good points. I just wrote the eBay seller and asked for the weight and brand. We'll see if he responds.

The OEM wheels I've got are near $300 a corner to replace is what I was thinking about as compared to the price for all four of those on Ebay. Instead of Ebay where you really don't know who you're dealing with, check with the Tire Rack wheel department. They've got near identical patterns at reasonable prices and you're dealing with someone in real business.

Thanks for the advice. I've bought several sets of wheels and tires from Tire Rack over the years with no complaints, but now that we have two local Discount Tire stores I'll probably use them if I can't find a spectacular deal here or on eBay.

Breytons 17x7 at Tire Rack are at $99/piece. They are very close or comparable with the R112 as you have pictured.

I bought one (1) of those exact same wheel on eBay for $66/pc shipped. I use it as a full-size spare.

Wish you luck!
