New R56 owner here. After less than a week and about 1/2 city/highway driving i am seeing 26mpg and dropping. I drive it easily and wondering if this is normal?
My 2010 S got 29.x 99% of the time, I'm seeing similar with my new 2013 S. 29.4 ish... I'm not a race car driver but I do hit the pedal. 90% highway driving.
2009 non s mini cooper with K&N cone Filter and running 93 octane non ethanol fuel. spirited driving with sport mode- 32mpg-34mpg around town. driving like a senior citizen mode on the highway (58mph-63mph) - 43mpg-45mpg. Average driving highway (75mph) and in town (35mph-45mph) combined driving is about 36mpg-38mpg. I drive 76 miles round trip daily for work and on weekends I may drive 300 miles to 450 miles for weekend road trips. I bought my justa cooper back in April with 37,000 miles on it and currently have 57,000 miles on it. I love the little car.
When it was new in 2009 My JCW got 33-34 MPG combined. Now driving the same route I get about 30-31. I wonder if they are using more ethanol than before or is it just carbon buildup? Top speed is down too. It used to zing up to 149. Now it will only do 140.
33.6 average. With JB+ at 50%. I haven't reset the average for 6 months. When I was reseting at every fuel stop it would range from 29-35. I don't take it easy on the throttle.
