Has anyone tried the K&N PS-7024 oil filter?
I was going to pick up a couple of OEM filters, but I just came across the K&N PS-7024. I searched this forum for comments but did not have much success.
Surprised no one chimed in on this filter. I'm ordering a couple off of Amazon now and will try to remember to report back. I just changed the oil 1,000 miles ago, and it's motorcycle season in DC now, so it may be a while. Did you go ahead and use it devicemanager? How'd you like them?
The first thing you'll notice is that the K&N has straight red pleats vs the white zig-zag on the oem filter. Much like the oem the end caps are hard plastic, but the K&N pleats appear to be denser. The rubber o-ring and copper crush washer are also included. I have read some reviews that stated the crush washer sucks and that you should buy your own, but so far I don't see any leaks so ymmv. Made in Korea.
Just seeing this post. I have used the K&N for the last couple of changes and all seems fine. I get mine off of Amazon and I like the fact that the crush washer comes with it. I do oil changes between 5000 & 7000 miles.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback.
I've been using them on my Justa for the last three oil changes (10k per oil change), and they come out in great shape, pleats still straight. They fit way better that the Purolator, Wix, and Manne also, more snug in the filter holder. I won't use anything else from here on out. One of the reviews on the Amazon page is mine.
Have not used a K&N brand one. Used the Genuine , Mahle, and Mann in the past with no issuses. Genuine comes with the crush washer the Mahle and Mann is separate.

Here ille report on this since no one has..
I've used one , THEY SUUUUUUCK ! they don't fit the housing well amd actually rattle around , they also don't seat tight when the cap is screwed down either. I also feel like they'd let oil bypass the filter because of that.
I didnt gave any negative effects though that I could tell after ir during use BUT the crush washer is **** and did leak and I did replace that after a week or so.
buuuuut after I used the filter I always cut mine up to inspect them , this is where this filter is a pos. The k&n filter v an Amazon " oe style " oil filter ( pretty much exactly the same as oem stock ) the oe style filter had close to double the amount of filter media. So if that k&n filter actually does filter smaller microns ,it will clog 4x faster..
the ONLY reason I used the k&n filter was because I forgot to buy an oe or atleast oe style oil filter and i had already drained my oil..
because the 1st time I went to install the filter I was hesitant to use it because of how poorly it fit the oil filter housing cap..
Then the price of this filter is 4x more than "oe style" oil filters , i think its a no brainer guys..
Here's a good , better oil filter actually if you want something better than oem/stock...
