I am looking for an OBD tool that will read ALL of the CEL codes that the MINI throws. In my experience, something like a Scangauge or Antec does not read all codes.
Can someone recommend a tool and/or software that will read all codes?
I am trying to figure out the cause of a 1/2 power CEL and fed up with going to the dealer and wasting money.
Just downloaded BMWhat and ordered a WiFi adapter. Will give it a try.
+1 Great tool for reading and clearing codes. Reads 16 different ECU's even the tranny and will also code the CAS, KOMBIE and FRM modules on my car. Not a replacement for NCS Expert but nice to have when you don't want to drag out the laptop.
I ordered a $17 WiFi connector but am looking at the OBDLink MX Wifi. If I like the software, I'll probably pickup one of these. They are 4x faster then what's on the market today if using WiFi.

Yikes ! $59 for android. Guess I need to see what else it does coding wise that would make it worth the cost.
Wonder if BMWWhat can identify which wheel sensor has failed (normally a trip to the dealer for their gear).
Any idea how long it has been since your MINI's software was updated? My 2008 MCS will display that info - it was added during an update a couple years ago.

Doh! Second Gen Forum - daymn.
Mine is an 05 R53 with a new stock JCW map last year. I'd hope they'd have updated anything while in there.
Dan, this is what I have. I use it with Dash Command on my iPhone, but it also seems to work with the BMW app mentioned; I downloaded the free version to test.
