Stained Vinyl Stripes

know there's a few threads on this but I thought I'd get a new one going to get some input. I've got the factory sport white stripes on my MINI, and they were recently stained from parking under a tree shedding all sorts of manner of flower, which then tried to permanently stick to my car. I got all the stains off of the paint and clearbra, but the exposed vinyl portion remains somewhat stained.

I've tried detail spray, car wash spray, car wash brush, and even bleach with improved whitening - any ideas?

after 2-3 applications of rinse + magic wand/sit in the sun, rinse repeat, the stain is 100% gone. really impressed with this product:

I wouldn't recommend this except as a last resort prior to removal or replacement of the stripes. I clay barred a stained section of mine. I thought I had ruined it as the white was coming off on the clay and it looked gray in spots. However, when it dried it was perfectly white and I waxed it.

BTW, I was pleased with the Hankooks this weekend. Will know more when I see the results.

Make a paste with some Oxyclean and let it sit on the stained vinyl. Unlike bleach, it won't harm the vinyl. You might have to do this a few times but eventually the stains will be removed. I had some bad stains on some 3M vinyl from some berries from a neighbors tree. The Oxyclean trick worked and did not harm the vinyl.

You might also try putting some hydrogen peroxide on a cloth and rubbing it on the stripes. That takes stains out of clothing.

thank for the tips all.

i tried literally everything - bleach, hydrogen peroxide, oxy clean stain stick, magic wand stick.

and it looks like for the most part its out, or at least much harder to see than before. i don't know that any one thing did it. the magic wand stick seemed to work pretty well though

Unfortunately it can be impossible to remove stains from white vinyl. Honest recommendation would be to remove or replace them. I removed mine ..

yeah i got 95% of it out but some of it will never come out. Unfortunately half the stripe is under clear bra so not reasonable to remove. I should have layered some clear bra on the rest of it
