Well I picked up my MINI today from Westchester MINI in NY. Lori and Mercedes and her husband were great! They were so nice and took all the time in the world. (even though I just wanted the damn keys! lol.) They said I was part of the "family" now lol. Me and my friends motored all night and Im IN LOVE with this car! Already on the first day Ive gotten looks, honks and people coming up and asking about the car, even before I got outta the dealership. The nav system is amazing!! It got us where ever we wanted to go, and was acurate to the yard, speaking turn by turn directions out loud over the cars sound system for us in a sexy british accent. Next week I am getting lojack installed cause I just love this car way to much. I still cant believe its sitting in my garage! Motor on!

 

Congrats, NYIllustrator! I wish you many happy years of motoring in your new baby! Have fun during engine break-in, but remember not to go over 4500 rpm or over 95 mph for the first 1200 miles! (It IS hard to behave!)

Congratulations NYIllustrator! I got mine just a week ago, had to go on a 3 day business trip last week and I had separation anxiety! I had lots of photos on my notebook pc that helped, but first thing I did when I got home was spend time with my MINI. I'm finding it hard keeping the revs below 4500, but only have 300 miles so far.

Yesterday I was at a strip shopping center and saw another MINI (it was shamefully dirty) that I parked next to. Then a while later, after my first refueling, saw another MCS and we eneded up speaking with each other briefly at a stop light.

In his or her defense, it's hard to keep these babies clean! My wheels get dirty in several days and the back hatch is filthy within 24 hrs of a wash & wax!!!

I know my MINI is usually somewhat dirty (esp the back hatch), although I'm driving 500-600 miles a week. I just hope people don't think that I don't love my MINI b/c I don't have the time to wash it everyday!!! :smile:
