linking my phone to my car??

okay, i've been trying to figure this out and i just cant. i have the r56, without nav. But all the phone and call buttons are on my wheel and dash...i've tried to sync my galaxy s4 with it, but i cant figure it out. any ideas? I'm so new to this car still!

press 'menu', select 'phone' , then it will ask to you turn on your phone bt and the system's bt. press pair and start playing the bt menu of your phone. you should be good to go

i went to menu and it did nothing :/ I will try it again as soon as i get out of work. thank you!!

The buttons are there whether the Bluetooth is actually fitted or not. You may not have it. Do you have the original window sticker?

When I test drove a Mini earlier this year, that is what the guy at the dealer told me. Just because it's got the buttons, doesn't mean they are functional. As on the dashboard it has switches for the fog-lights, but if the car doesn't have 'em, they won't work.
Hope when I get my Mini it'll have all these features.

Those buttons being there without the capability is frustrating. Is there a way to reprogram the 11 MCS so that the phone link does work?

Does your car have a USB port? If not, it is also missing the Bluetooth module and would have to be installed.
