Presumably the same shop in China is making all of these; I did spring for a set on Ebay a few months ago.

They were just as advertised, installed in a couple minutes each side, just using my fingers. Visible in daylight even, just a fun thing to have, about $30 IIRC.

I've heard that these will "burn out" the image if you leave the doors propped open for extended periods (the very bright LED damages the ink of the image on a little plastic disc).

HTH.

Way is selling these in the states and I find the version he has with the small heatsinks don't have the burning out issue.

you did, but the photo example on the "JCW" listing has the same "mini" logo photo, must be a website error.

Here' s the Way Motor Works version (projected on my dirty garage floor).
They are high quality lights, much better than some of the EBay junk I've seen.

Yes I have them on my watch list also I email the German Seller, and he said that 'they should fit' the R53, but I am not 100% sure.

Has anyone installed a set on the R53 (1st Gen)?

Yup they work fine as long as it was a later R53 that already had door lights

Nice pic, I should use it on my site as the one I took didn't turn out well.

I got mine today . . .

I would like to thank Way, and let everyone know that I received the item in a VERY timely manner at a price that is 1/2 the eBay sellers price.

Here is some photos, and just to let everyone know - anyone can install these in less than 3 minutes!

So I got mine from Way today. But I'm either really dumb or someone made a mistake. I installed the R on the passenger door and looks great. But when I installed the L on the drivers door, the logo projected upside down. Are these adjustable or can I turn it 180 degrees or did I just get 2 passenger side lights?

I can see mine in some daylight. Because it's focused on the ground it shows up say better than the unfocused little EOM bulbs. I could barely seen them in the dark.
