Presumably the same shop in China is making all of these; I did spring for a set on Ebay a few months ago.

They were just as advertised, installed in a couple minutes each side, just using my fingers. Visible in daylight even, just a fun thing to have, about $30 IIRC.

I've heard that these will "burn out" the image if you leave the doors propped open for extended periods (the very bright LED damages the ink of the image on a little plastic disc).

HTH.

mdsbrain 06-12-2014 10:29 AM

Way is selling these in the states and I find the version he has with the small heatsinks don't have the burning out issue.

They are no brainer as long as you get the style Way sells.

you did, but the photo example on the "JCW" listing has the same "mini" logo photo, must be a website error.

Here' s the Way Motor Works version (projected on my dirty garage floor).
They are high quality lights, much better than some of the EBay junk I've seen.

c0op3r 06-25-2014 05:57 PM

Yes I have them on my watch list also I email the German Seller, and he said that 'they should fit' the R53, but I am not 100% sure.

Has anyone installed a set on the R53 (1st Gen)?

WayMotorWorks 06-25-2014 07:10 PM

We just got more with the JCW logo.

Yup they work fine as long as it was a later R53 that already had door lights

c0op3r 06-25-2014 08:14 PM

Purchased! Will post photos once they arrive.

Nice pic, I should use it on my site as the one I took didn't turn out well.

Thanks, you should have them tomorrow or Sat.

c0op3r 06-28-2014 04:06 PM

I got mine today . . .

I would like to thank Way, and let everyone know that I received the item in a VERY timely manner at a price that is 1/2 the eBay sellers price.

Here is some photos, and just to let everyone know - anyone can install these in less than 3 minutes!

Here's a shot of the WayMotorWorks lights projected on a white piece of cardboard on my garage floor.

That's a nice how to, I'll have to refer people to it when they ask:thumbsup:

So I got mine from Way today. But I'm either really dumb or someone made a mistake. I installed the R on the passenger door and looks great. But when I installed the L on the drivers door, the logo projected upside down. Are these adjustable or can I turn it 180 degrees or did I just get 2 passenger side lights?

Got mine this week really fast. $36 shipped and they look fantastic and go in easy. Very excellent look, my wife wants some for her Honda.

JPMM 08-02-2014 03:11 PM

Got mine ,really cool! But my drivers side is crooked , not in line with the door, is there a way to turn them? It seems the LEDs are fixed in position

artorrence 08-04-2014 10:37 AM

Got mine Saturday, put them on Sunday in 5 minutes. Did not get any pictures yet as it was not dark outside yet, but I can't wait to see them in the dark.

I can see mine in some daylight. Because it's focused on the ground it shows up say better than the unfocused little EOM bulbs. I could barely seen them in the dark.
