R60 Where is the tow hook?
Where is the tow hook?
When I took delivery of my 2006 MCSa, there was a roadside emergency kit in the boot. It contained a small jack, and a tow-hook that screwed into the bumper in case it was needed.
When I took delivery of my 2014 Countryman S a few weeks ago, the salesman said Mini no longer provides a breakdown kit with the car.
However, there's got to be a tow hook, right? Where is it located? (I know where the tow hook holes are located on the bumper, I'm referring to the actual hook itself) It wasn't in the glove compartment... I could call the dealer but I'm sure someone on this forum knows...

98% of flatbed truck operators have their own tow hooks, but it's better to be safe than sorry, and make sure you know where your's is. Mine is under the passenger seat on my 2011 CMS.
I have non-RF tires, and if I flat, a tow is my first choice, but if that isn't possible for one reason or another, I have a jack and a slime emergency repair kit (with high quality compressor), in the boot just in case.

Tow eye
You don’t want to rely on one of the eyes a tow truck operator has as it may not be the correct thread or size. That could strip your thread or risk losing the car halfway up the bed. I am a tow truck operator and research forums and videos to keep up with the ever changing models and vehicles to make each tow as easy and careful as possible.
