I've been patiently waiting for end of June to turn in Zaftig. I got a call from BMW and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they base turn in on contract date, not delivery date. Zaftig will be returning to Passport on May 9th. That will save me a couple of lease payments that I can put towards my new vehicle. I can drive my Ranger until the Mazda3 comes in, sometime in June. I'll have to check with Mazda to see if I can get an update on status. Good news to start Spring with.

Thanks! I hope that I haven't majorly offended or POd anyone over the last three years. Except, of course, the ones that needed to be majorly offended or POd. It's been a long and interesting ride. There's probably a very good car somewhere inside the CM, the people that designed and built it just got lost along the way - Too much for a novice MINI person to take in.

The Mazda 3s are nice looking.
The Mazdaspeed3 is pretty sweet too.

 

No Mazdaspeed 3 for the new redesign, yet. Mine is a Soul Red, Almond Leather, 5 door S Grand Touring w/ tech package, plus a couple of minor add ons. Basically every tech and safety convenience you can imagine. Also, 184HP, 6 speed manumatic (no manual with the bigger engine), and the handling/performance Mazda is known for. It will be a return to Mazda for me and I'm quite looking forward to it.

Many of us feel MINI has lost it way (going all the way back to the intro of gen2).....quality issues, carbon issues, timing chain issues...and now with the gen3 basicly being a baby 2'series BMW....
Many folks are going to various ford and Mazda cars....
And the ex-bmw folks are going mini now....cause it is just a baby BMW IMO...even more so with the redesign.

Thanks, all. But not yet. Mazda3 production is rumored to be moving to Mexico, but mine is being put together in the land of its birth. Slowly, piece by piece. Late June is when I'm expecting my zoom zoom infusion.
