new steering wheel

Does anyone know where I can get a new 3 spoke steering wheel?? besides the JCW John Cooper Works Alcantara Leather Steering Wheel. I figure the OEM 3 spoke would be less then the $370 JCW one. Mine is getting worn on the left side and it gets very sticky I guess that's what I get for not washing my hands after I leave work

Yeah - would just get one from the classifieds - they are generally pretty much as new:

I'd like to know what the price is new, non-dealership price before I commit on a used one.

That's what i like to know. You can buy the JCW one from different vendors (example: way motor works, outmotoring,
or ecstuning just to name a few)

RealOEM has them listed between $430-$470 depending on button options.
(That's + core)

We could always get you an all leather JCW wheel, instead of the Alcantara.

I thought the all leather ones were discontinued. Actually I might consider the leather/suede. I'm doing my headliner in suede as soon as it warms up

You won't find one new for 60.00 that's for sure, that's a good deal

Truth is, a plain OEM 3 spoke wheel is more expensive than the super nice JCW alcantara unit.

The JCW is a very nice wheel. Motoringfile did an excerpt on the JCW wheel, it is actually thicker than the OEM and it got a great feedback and reviews. It's def on my mod list to get.

Also, if you redo your headliner please seriously consider Alcantara, and not genuine suede. Alcantara was specifically made for automotive applications and has considerably better wear, stain and if resistance compared to suede. When you redo the headliner post pics, love a good alcantara interior!

We have the JCW Alcantara / Leather version ( Thicker wheel ) here and currently its priced under the multi-function leather standard three spoke wheel. The Full JCW leather ( Thicker wheel ) is NLA now for the Gen 1 MINIs.

Full Leather JCW Wheel. Part # 32300397016

The wheel feels really nice and look great in any interior. The thicker then stock wheel also feels better in your hands, in my opinion. Part # 32300403545

JCW Alcantara / Leather version

Don't think you will find much lower than 15% off list....
Markup is simply not much....
A few JCW parts pop up new, cheap, cause dealers (new car and vendor) had them bought and paid for on speculation they would get sold as an upgrade...but gen1 cars are getting older...most folks are into mataining more than upgrading with $$$$ OEM parts...so most have been dumped cheap (compared to list).

Have you tried a good cleaning...any maybe getting the leather replaced...but likely much more $$ than a good used one...

You'll have to change that habit if you get the Alcantara. The material gets gross quickly and easily.

First post here. I'm in the market for a Mini. So I'm here to learn before buying. Anyway, I also have an E46 330i and I love my stock ZHP/M3 wheel. I am not a fan of the stock Mini wheels. So after doing a little searching, I found that a hub adapter for a Mini also happens to fit an E46! So after I get my Mini, I will try swapping wheels. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried it. Nothing so far came up with Mr Google. And yes, Alcantara gets worn and flat with much use. Looks nice but very expensive material by the yard and it's similar to suede.
