Ok who the hell wouldn't want to get in their GP and have it already in sport and GP mode every time.

I don't see why this would be something we should turn on its a GP dammit. It should always be on and have to be turned off. You shouldn't even have an option to turn off sport mode.

This annoys me.

This is what drove me nuts with my previous M cars too. I wonder if you just code it somehow?

I can understand the reason, but it would be nice if it remembered the last used settings.

Here are a few threads to check out. I haven't done them, but looks like there are options to set it "on" by default.

My father had a ZR-1 Vette and never could understand the reason behind the Valet key setting either,...

Looked into coding already (did a bunch on my old e92) no options to code it on.

I asked my friends who work for Mercedes Benz and BMW about this. As my mom's 04 Benz would stay in sport mode, but her 11 doesn't. Apparently there was some sort of regulation added that the cars must return to non-sport mode after being shut off. Just governments interfering again!

I know that it can't be done on the GP2. A guy on here (Theta) and the maker of the auto-sport device that Way sells tried and even adding hardware won't do it or it would be extremely difficult.

The auto-sport will work on the older R56's but not the newer ones.

Oh I know exactly why. it would cut the horsepower by half in case the valet wanted to get jiggy with your 'vette while driving it around the block to the parking spot.

some dope not used to driving a high hp car could easily wrap it around a pole.

Now me, I can't understand why anyone would let a valet park their ZR-1 in the first place....

Here in North Texas the TC seems pointless. I drove around once with it on and it kicked on every time I hit an uneven section of pavement.........which is almost continuous due to the expanding/ contracting clays in this area. Oh well, I probaly spent more time typing this then it takes to push the button the entire time I plan to own the car.

Best of luck finding a solution!

This module is the bomb diggity.

It is nice getting in my R53JCW and having one-touch up and down on the windows, DSC is off and fogs turn on with the headlights.

I highly recommend it.

Seems like it won't work for my car according to the other foaks on here. I still have to code my car for the windows up, seatbelt chimes, door chimes etc. Just to damn cold to bother right now
