Hi everyone,

I've been reading all the threads on the carbon build-up issue and wondering if there are any garages other than Mini dealerships who could do this for me in the Bay Area?

I have a 2008 MCS with 37k miles and it's starting to feels sluggish/stuttering.

It's out of warranty and Stevens Creek Mini want drug money so wondering if there's a good local performance shop who I could go to instead?

Sorry if this is a double up - I have searched and dug through threads trying to find recommendations but haven't found anything in my area.

Bay bridge motors in Oakland has just started offering this service. I've had good experience with them for other work, so I'm planning to have it done there soon.

 

If you were in SoCal, my buddy's shop does it for $300 and it can be done in a few hours.

 

I'm pretty sure BR Racing in Los Gatos does. If not, I'm sure they can recommend someone reputable. They work on MINI, BMW, Porsche, and Audi. They deal with carbon build up all the time.
