Please Help! Does anybody know where the Faculty Built-In Alarm Relay is located?
Hi.
I hope you are doing well.
Something has been draining the battery and the car won’t start. I have already recharged the battery for 24 hours.
The Dealers and mechanics cannot find the problem.
My car wouldn’t start again today and made clicking / clacking sounds. It sounds like the clicking / clacking sounds are coming from under the steering wheel – where a small box with a red light is located (it looks more like a car alarm… if this visual helps).
Plus, when I start the car, the car alarm goes off like crazy.
I have read people’s posts and answers on here, so I tested out the battery – the battery is fine.
I have also read posts that said that it could be the sunvisors and lights on in the car that might cause the battery to drain. I have made sure that none of these are on when I turn off my car for the night.
After troubleshooting / fixing almost everything on my car (Automatic 2003 Mini Cooper), I have determined that the problem could / possibly be the Faculty Built-In Alarm Relay / Switch eating up / draining the battery.
Can someone kindly show / point me as to where the Faculty Built-In Alarm Relay / Switch located on an automatic 2003 Mini Cooper?
Does anybody have an answer (or more than one answer) that can help me? Any and all help is very much appreciated.
I love my car very much and don’t want to sell it and / or give it up.
Thank you so much for your help!
