Brake rotor replacements w/ceramic pads

Hi All:
I have an 06 (R53) manufactured 10/06. It's time for a complete brake job, and I am planning to upgrade to cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads. (no slots)
The problem is...Mini's are manufactured from Sept- Sept for a given year model (according to the local Mini Store) Therefore I have either a "late" 06 or an early 07. The brakes are different on the 06 and a change was implemented in 7/06 (again according to the dealer).
As my car is NOT a JCW. what rotors should I order? 276mm? 285mm?

What is the present thinking on Brake pads (based on actual experience) I have historically enjoyed great success with the ceramic pads. Have any of you "spirited" drivers found issues with these?

Finally: Tore down the mini last week and replaced the Water pump and thermostat housing (This doe NOT require that the supercharger be removed, despite write-up's to the contrary) I took some time and checked the oil in the supercharger and found the front side (towards the drive belt) EMPTY! I had just filled that end last year. Obviously the seals on the back side of the front bearing are going and it is sucking the oil out.

Recommendations on where to get another supercharger (rebuilt) ? Pricing?

Thanks to all.
Happy motoring.

Hello,

You have a later year 2006 R53 MINI Cooper S. You will need the production 7/2006+ rotors. Which is size 276x22mm or 10.86" for the Non JCW Rotors on the fronts. Follow MINI part # 34116774984 .

On the rear you will need the 7/2006+ rotors 259x10mm or 10.19" ( the JCW and Non JCW share the same rotor on the rear). Follow MINI part # 34216774987

Also kits with our ECS Geomet Rotors in Cross drilled / slotted or slotted ( front and rear for both ).

We have service kits with pads / rotors / sensors / Rotor screws . Follow the same 7/2006+ Non JCW setup for those also..

We have new & rebuild superchargers from MINI. The superchargers for Non JCW MINIs are currently on back-order but should be available in the next month or two.

If you plan on taking your MINI on the track do NOT use drilled rotors. They can & do fail on track. Slots are fine.
