Worn suspension

My r53 suspension feels worn and the car shakes like it's on square wheels when the temperature is below freezing..

With that in mind, is the Koni FSD's going to be an improvement in comfort? I don't really care that much in performance as long as it's better than my worn out suspension..

Also, could i reuse my springs on the FSD's or do i have to get new ones?

Thanks.

The square wheel feeling is just the car sitting in the cold. Mine does this as well

And WHAT kind of tires....
Summer tires get very hard in cold weather...they tend to freeze in the shape...the rubber is just not meant for use in temps below 40°f. I have had all seasons do this once or twice...in EXTREMELY COLD weather....aka -10°f or colder....but if they are all seasons/winters, then
And you are feeling it more than with other ca s you have owned... Look deeper.
New shocks/struts will help with ROAD IMPERFECTIONS and handling...NOT WITH PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED with tire balance....
But if you have a gen1 on factory struts...they ARE likely toast.

Koni fsd's are for STOCK HEIGHT springs.....no lowering springs.
Beat me to it with the tire type...check you pressures lately?

Pressure is fine, but the car had a very lite fender bender to the right side when i bought it (couldn't notice it at all but the FR strut looked a tiny bit different.

I'm guessing the FR strut is bad, so i should be ok if i replace both fronts and leave the backs stock?

http://www.motoringwerks.com/p-3674-...sd-shocks.aspx

A full set is $600, can i get only 2 fronts for $300?

Just bite the bullet and buy a full set of the FSD's. My car had 90,000 miles on it when I swamped out the worn stock shocks for FSD's. HUGE improvement is ride comfort. BUT, I also got rid of the hard runflat tires, and got a set of "normal" non-runflat tires.

The car felt so much better after the FSD's and new tires. Just keep your stock sprigs....the FSD's are designed to work with them.

At your mileage all of your struts are shot. Buy 4 not 2.

Get the FSD's regardless and YES you can re use your stock springs they last a long long time, changing just the front struts will do nothing if all of the shocks are original or the same age, its a few hours job if you are doing it yourself, that and the Contis will make a huge diference. trust me on that
