Footwell Space

Am I the only one who can't get his clodhoppers in the space between the brake and gas pedals? When I wear sneakers I don't seem to have a problem but wearing hard soled shoes I find they catch on the brake pedal if I'm not careful. Is there a recommended fix for this or do you just eventually adapt to it? I haven't had the car long and haven't even looked underneath to see if there's room to make changes.

I just got used to the spacing. If I had shoes/boots that did not fit, I just quit wearing them in the MINI.

It sounds like those shoes are dangerously wide to drive in.

You get used to it. I have size 14EEE shoes and no problems.

The first couple of times I tried to drive my mini with work boots (steel toe) I thought "this will never work" ....was kinda hard actually...but after a few times...it got easier....and having done it a few times, it is just as easy now as with my sneakers/dress shoes.
