my brake sensor is on
I drive a base 2004. I changed my brakes myself about a month ago, I broke the rear brake sensor so I replaced it. I put my new wheels on, I was good to go. I took the new wheels off now that it's winter, and when I got home the yellow brake pad sensor light came on. I know my brakes are new. Mag of Columbus told me it cannot be reset, is there another way, I have checked the sensors they look physically as they did after I installed the anew kit. Thanks

You can always cut the wires and short them together. You will loose the functionality of the sensor but you won't have the light and it seems like you know how to check your brake pads for wear so that shouldn't be an issue.
This means that there are fault codes stored in the parking brake computer. The system has seen a fault so it has activated the message. What you will need to do is have the fault codes read in the system with the proper diagnostic scan tool. Most common problems with the parking brake system is either the switch or the parking brake actuator. Without checking the codes or clearing them with the scan tool then the message will always be there.
on a GEN1, after you change a worn sensor there IS a reset procedure you must do.
After replacing the sensor, turn the ignition key to the #2 position for around 30 seconds without turning over the engine...the light goes out!
