R56 who has a cnt exhaust on a 13 mcs with or with out jcw areo kit
who has a cnt exhaust on a 13 mcs with or with out jcw areo kit
Having fitment issues with my exhaust .spoke with a rep that told me they have had no fitment issueswith over 100 units sold . they think there may be a change mini made from 12 to 13 .so i wondering who has one on their 2013 mini cooper s
What sort of issues? I put one on my 2010 4 hours ago and have some minor issues. The muffler is a little high in the valence and the pipe hits the cross brace piece. Both can be remedied easily. I also am going to toss the clamps they sent. I just got back from O'Reillys and grabbed some u bolt style clamps.
Sound is great. Quiet at idle but growly when you get on it. Some resonance around 3k but the pipe is testing on the brace...

My middle pipe is resting on the cross plate . If i push it up the first pipe hits the bottom of the fromt crossmember and the way the pipe was bent coming off the backbox makes the backbox/tips sit unparralel with the rear bumper. what remmidies did u come up with for ur issues
If i had a better than base tig welder i would cut the pipe and weld it but confidence is low without a machine that pulses. i wish there was something i could do to make myself happy without returning but it but there is too much to correct. Got any pics of ur install
Sounds about the same. I am going to try and adjust mine tomorrow to clear the plate in the middle. Front and back fit fine. I had my wife spot the tips while I adjusted it to the middle. The bend in the midpipe needs to be about 2 inches further back.
No pics. I rushed the install. Had less than 2 hours before I had to leave.
If I remember I'll try to grab a couple of pics tomorrow.
Note in the alta install, the use of some washers to lower the brace: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...k-install.html
I also bought a rubber exhaust hangar to make a bumpstop on top of the brace for the exhaust.

Really didnt want to go the washer route on the plate . i understand the price it great for what it is but i bought an exhaust made for an r56 so it should fit an r 56 with no modifications to the car . I was thinking about getting another one after returning this one but starting to think that maybe this could be a bad batch . if they have not had fitment issues until now id be better off waiting on the next batch to come out. ill see how vetsvettes fits when its installed .and good luck vetsvette hope all goes well for you .
I bought mine used from a member in CA, so I guess we'll see how an older one fits. I won't be installing mine until after I take mine in to the dealer for timing chain and heat shield campaigns. Hopefully I'll have it installed by the middle of December.
Cause they are both (how do I put this kindly?), not very good...
Yet another case of you get whet you pay for...
(yea, I bought an Invidia, yes I sold it a week later.) I got it to fit, but it droned really badly right at freeway speed. It was horrible...
Factory JCW now... no issues at all.

Grabbed some new clamps (the $3 ubolt ones from the auto parts store) and made dome adjustments.
Pushed the middle pipe back and pushed the exhaust up. Tightened the clamps both down and released. I can now pass my hand between the brace and the exhaust. Also with the better clamps, I have NO drone. I am very happy with the sound! Met up with the local club today and got many compliments from fJCW owners that I gave rides. I put about 120 miles on it, mostly highway. The tone is very nice. Quiet at idle and highway speeds. Growly/poppy when I get on it!
