Sirius retrofit antenna extension question

I put a LCI r56 radio into my 08 MCS and sirius appears to be already apart of the head unit. (it has the esn on top of the cd player so I guess no tuner is needed) Anyways, I need to get the sirius antenna connection from under the seat to the back of the cd player. Would this be the type of wire needed to use as an extension?

Here is a picture of the connection under the seat and the connection on the back of the cd player to use for reference.

I don't have Sirius on my Mini, but I do on a couple other vehicles. That looks like what you need. The plugs look compatible and the impedance of the cable seems correct. Not a bad price.

It ain't gonna work. You are dealing with a fiber optic ring buss, and it will require dealer or NCS Expert coding, along woth tying it into the infotainment ring.

Ask in the audio/nav section.

That's half of the problem solved, you still need to tie it into the fiber optic ring.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I don't think the fiber optic ring is necessary for me to get Sirius to work out of a 2012 head unit. On my old radio, I have the input and output for the fiber optics, but no option to use them on the new radio. Without buying anything else, I have HD radio and Bluetooth functional and some would say those needed to be tied into the ring. I'm guinea pigging here. If that doesn't work, I still have a Sirius tuner that goes under the seat that I can mess with. And I believe I'm tech savvy enough to close the fiber optic loop if need be.

I will post a few more pics later this morning.

Here is a pic of the back of my original radio out of my '08. Everything except the radio antenna goes through the wireless harness, even the fiber optic input and output.

Now here is picture of the back of the radio out of a '12. It now has an antenna connection for satellite (pink), USB connection (white), and the radio antenna (black). If you look where the wire harness plugs in, there is no option to receive the fiber optic input/output.

So it appears I might just be able to hook up the antenna for satellite and enable sat through ncs expert to get it working. I've already checked the esn that is on top of the cd player for sirius and it comes with a free three month trial too.

If a mod wants to move this to the audio/nav section, go ahead. This is getting a little more in depth than originally planned.
