anyone here have a set of the factory 15" seven hole wheels they'd like to sell?
i have the 17" s lites, which i at first loved, but after driving on them for a while the harshness of the ride paired with the horrible grip from the runflats (plus the fact that they weigh about a ton each) has really made me wish i had smaller wheels with non-runflats...

if anyone's interested, please pm me.
i'll be happy to pay a fair price, assuming they're in good condition (and silver)

thanks!
christina.

Take a look on ebay, they show up there every now & then. Consider calling the dealers in the area, they may have sets left over from when Coopers arrived and they put 17" after market wheels on them. Just a shot.

There were a couple sets on eBay yesterday being sold by 'SC Sales', so I went to their website and emailed them... He said they have tons of them for sale - I didn't ask what the prices are, but call them and ask.:

christina,
Some comments. Yes the 17" S-lytes are heavy but they are 17x7" rims (25.1 pounds each) and do look better than the stock 7 hole rims which are only 15x5.5" and 12 pounds. The 15x5.5" rim takes a smaller tire, normally 175/65-15 but you can fit wider tires on with some success. 185/60-15, 195/55-15 and 205/50-15 are all possible. The lower sidewall 50 series tires will ride rougher but handle better for performance. The 60 series tire will be much more comfortable and smooth but not as good for cornering hard. The 55 series will be in between.

So one option is to keep the S-lytes but put less aggressive non runflat tires on them for smoothness and some performance. Stock tire size is 205/45-17. You might talk to alex@tirerack to find something that would be more smooth riding in terms of which tire to choose. Look into the Kumho Ecsta MX from tirerack
205/50WR15 Price: $79 for the 15x5.5" rim
215/45-17 for $117 for the S-lytes
Ecsta MX

or maybe the Falken ST-115 (not at tirerack)
215/45ZR17 Rating 360-A-A Load 87 each $135.99 at 1010tire.com
These are a smooth and quiet tire.

Here are some tires in 205/50-15 for 15x5.5" rims at edgeracing.

If you have them mounted and balanced go to a performance wheel specialty shop as these tires barely fit on the narrow 5.5" rims. But they do fit.

So you can go with the narrow 7 hole 15x5.5" rims but the tires will be quite a bit more narrow although a 195/55-15 tire like the Falken Ziex ZE-512 ($79) might be a workable compromise. You get the lighter weight but you loose the nice 17" S-lyte look. Your stock wheels are about 48 pounds each vs the 7 hole with better tire is about 32-33 pounds.

Yes, the stock lug bolts will fit either rim (JerseyGirl has had both).

I don't remember the pressure off the top of my head - sorry.
