2009 Factory JCW Leaking Greenish Fluid

Hello folks. I got my JCW back from a state inspection and it seems that there is a light green fluid leaking from the engine. I've ruled out the brakes and coolant and it seems to be coming from the transmission but it's hard to tell exactly where it's leaking from. The trail comes from somewhere up top and snakes down alongside the transmission case (facing the rear).

It has never leaked until I took it in for an inspection. Do the tech's typically fill the transmission? Anyone else have this issue or have any leads?

Thanks

green? sure sounds like coolant to me. I do not think transmission fliud is green, more likely yellow.

Could be dye from the A/C system. Most dyes are a bright green that is fluorescent under a "black light". Thats the only thing I can think of that could be green in your car.

Its coolant. It looks like its coming from a thing that a bunch of coolant tubes go into. Its black plastic . It sits on top of the transmission. That's why it was so hard to locate. It may be the thermostat but I'm not sure.

Edit: yup, here is the write up. Luckily it looks easy to do.

That sounds like the thermostat housing, I had to have mine replaced at 52k miles.
